Nobody said growth was an easy process.
Often times, when we start to grow, we start to feel resistance.
When we’re children, resistance is a very tangible and physical thing. Do you remember what it felt like to have “growing pains” in your bones?
When we grow emotionally and spiritually, we face the similar kinds of resistance- from our friends, our loved ones, and even our own psyche.
I want to let you in on something: That resistance always stems from the same source. That source is fear.
The fearful mind can cause us to act as our own worst enemy; holding us back from our passions and our true greatness.
I see this all the time in dating and with my clients.
Sometimes we have to break through that initial vulnerability and fear to put ourselves out there.
The resistance can be unnerving, and while it gets easier, it’s never a walk in the park.
I call this a paradigm shift. When you try to change your life and encounter resistance it’s normal because you are attempting to step out of your current comfort zone. As you grow your comfort zones (paradigms) are always changing. Your paradigms will shift from a smaller zone to a larger zone. With each new zone, you will feel the same amount of threat and safety, but your zones have grown!
You need to remember that if you want to grow don’t plan on spending too much time in your current comfort zone.
Putting yourself out there is a short time situation, leading to a big-time gain, which will inevitably attract the man of your dreams.
Go for it!
