Discouragement  is one of the arch-enemies of single people for a very simple reason: You don’t have anyone to help your change your perspective.

It’s easy to feel downhearted. Most of the time, discouragement is the result of not getting your wants met long-term. Most of you bounce back from disappointment, but when disappointments pile up or there’s no sign of hope, that’s when discouragement gets a foothold!

Validation – Giving value to your feelings and recognizing it’s as a temporary situation and learn how to process and release it. Hold on to your vision! Remember that ALL great successes came after periods of discouragement and failure. Don’t give up. Reconnect to what you want and why you want it. Your “why” helps you to stay connected to your dreams and gives a direction when things take longer than they “should”

What’s your plan? Are you really doing everything you possibly can to make it come about? Did you give up too soon? Are there other opportunities or possibilities you haven’t explored? Have you tried to go through, over, under, and around the obstacle? If you start executing your plan, the discouragement you feel will leave as quickly as it appeared. Are you really doing everything you possibly can to make it come about? Did you give up too soon? Are there other opportunities or possibilities you haven’t explored?

Count your blessings. Make a list of all the things for which you are grateful. Often times, we focus on the one thing that’s wrong and overlook the 99 things that are going well. When you make a conscious effort to write down what’s good and going well in your life, it helps you to put things into perspective.

By immediately dealing with discouragement when it strikes, not only will your life be better, but so will the people who are impacted by your energy of discouragement.
