One of my clients went on a dating binge after she found out her ex recently got married. She was so triggered that she reverted back to some of her old behaviors, which was to fill her “alone” time with as much distraction as possible so she didn’t have to deal with her feelings.
This created all kinds of problems she had to deal with. She got behind in her business goals and she lacked confidence on the dates. Self-doubt and self-loathing crept in (along with multiple bottles of wine and chocolate). Her confidence level totally dropped which shifted her energy and pointed it at what she didn’t want to attract. Do you see the cycle? The pattern?
The great thing is that she is aware of her pattern! As soon as she recognized what was happening to her, she was able to STOP creating the pattern. The MASSIVE BENEFIT to understanding her pattern was to be able to quickly hit her internal re-set button. She quickly regained her confidence, got out of victim mode and into feeling empowered. Which shifted her energy back to creating the life she wants.
Right after she did that she went on a dream date and is super excited about this one!
Patterns. We all have them. You can see yours by recognizing your triggers. If you get triggered it means that something is negatively affecting you and is mirroring back to you some part of you that still needs to be healed.
I can relate to this pattern. I did the same thing before I figured it out. I call it “scattering”. I would get scattered when something would happen that I didn’t know how to deal with. I would go into scattering mode and I would create all these little dramas that I had to deal with which took the focus off what had happened.
Are you working too hard at attracting a relationship? Are you serial dating, or spinning your wheels pining over a past relationship? Or maybe you are in a relationship and he won’t commit to you?
What’s happening is that you are spending too much time and energy focused on the things you don’t have control over and not enough time on the things you do. This creates a lot of suffering. And, it doesn’t have to be so hard.
What you do have control over is your thoughts. It’s critical to take time to become aware of what you are thinking about. What are you thinking about right now? Your thoughts really do become things so you need to pick the best ones. It’s so easy! It’s so simple! Just breathe. The minute you focus on your breath you are in the moment and that’s where all your power is. In the present moment! That’s why it’s called a gift. The PRESENT!

Start with this easy technique this week to keep you present and more focused and Self-aware. When you’re in the moment you bring all that beautiful energy to everything you do! Your inner light illuminates through your presence. And, that’s what men find so enticing!
